Torque spec needed-RAVE not listing

1 Attachment(s)
Does anyone have a correct torque spec on the oil pump cover? Phillips bolts on the inside of the timing chain cover. See picture bellow.

Or do I just go a good old "hand tight"?

Thanks!

In the overhaul manual section, found this for 4.0 and 4.6 engines; under torque wrench settings:

Oil pump cover plate screws ** . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 4 Nm 3 lbf.ft
Oil pump cover plate bolt ** . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 8 Nm 6 lbf.ft

Spark plugs . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . 20 Nm 15 lbf.ft

** Coat threads with sealant, Part number STC

50552 prior to assembly.

Note: they list every other torque it down setting for places you didn't even know they had bolts...

Thanks Buzz,

I needs to get to know the RAVE a little better I guess.

It looks like "Part number STC 50552" is Loctite (blue).

Thanks again!

The RAVE, (Rovers A'int Very Economical) is like an onion, many layers. I think the workshop manual is geared toward quick fix parts changers, and the overhaul toward the master guys (and gals!) that would be entrusted with something more complex than swapping an alternator. Most dealers want lots of the quick fix, and so do the techs.
