Sure, stop driving it right now. Get us the exact fault codes, it's mileage, octane of gas and tune up history along with plugs if done.

Thanks Mike, It has 91K on her plugs and wires done at 84K I use 91 octane ever other fill up. Also after replacing the Alternator the odometer keeps flashing. I will get the codes. The guy that read the codes just wrote down what they meant. Assitive adaptive mixture correction TRA bank 1 and bank 2 and the third code was evaporative control system, small leak detected. thanks again for any info you can give me.Lyle

Why would you use premium every other tank of gas and not every tank?
All you are doing is confusing the ecu by doing that and you are not saving yourself any money.
Spend the extra $4 every time you get gas and save yourself a ton of money and headaches later.

I am going to say a bad MAF sensor.
As for the odometer flashing, you need to take it to the dealer for that, it needs to be matched back upto the trucks computer.

They REQUIRE premium gas, and yes, they will get the best MPG with it.
You can expect to lose 10-15% in MPG by using regular grade gas and even more by using low quality gas.
The $0.02 you save at the pump will cost you dollars.

Get one of these, I have one for almost 2 years now and I have saved a ton of money on fuel.

It is NOT a credit card, it is a debit card, you swipe the card, pump the gas and the savings show when the money comes out of your bank account.

So with your diesel, did you put in gas every other time also? Just read the sticker on the gas door.
Get the code and get back to us.
By the way, who's plug wires did you use?

The 335 is for a failed crank shaft sensor, time to replace it then deal with the rich codes. Also clean your battery cable and retighten them, once you have a new sensor installed and the engine runs, go get the voltage checked at a local parts store, should be between 13.6 and 14.4 volts or your lights can flash.
