You don't need to tell them the part number they already have it.
How many miles on your tranny, when was it last serviced and do you know how to re-fill your tranny?

Are you just wanting the filter?

I got the transmission service kit from Napa and had a shop do it. I wasn't sure when the last time the tranny was serviced so I went ahead an went all out with it.

Autozone sells the kit also for around $40....you'll probably need to order it in store since its a more obscure part. They can look it up via a description.

Autozone has it in stock by me under thier Duralast brand name but I forget who actually produces it, its whoever makes the dark purple? box.... however Advance orders it as an Factory Direct Part so won't have it in any store...atleast in this region.

I found a post here which listed FK279 (advance) i ordered it today $19 will be here tomorrow. i assume it comes with a gasket, the guy instore couldn't tell me.
I've done trans filter removal on other vehicles, and have read several posts here so i don't imagine it'll be too hard.

First time changing on this vehicle, i got it with 100,000 and i've put on 23,000.

I replaced front and rear axle oil yesterday and finally bought the 2nd wiper blade.

Vacuumed and armoraled, then washed...winter is over!!!!

You need the filter kit, they also sell the filter without the gasket.
