Default Transmission Temperature Light

I have a '94 Disco' and the transmission temp indicator keeps coming on. It's only doing it at low speed, like when I'm on a dirt road or off road. Once it gets some air moving around it again, it shuts off. Can anyone help me with this?

It could be anyne of these causing the light to come on.
Your radiator has some obstruction not allowing enough air to pass thru.
The tranny cooler could be getting plugged up internally.
You have a faulty temp sensor unit.
Or you need to service your tranny.
How many miles on the truck?

It has 80,000 miles, I bought it with 75,000, and I'm not sure of the service history on the tranny. The fluid level is correct and hasn't dropped at all since I bought the vehicle last October. Also the fluid is clean, the correct color, and smells normal.

May need to test and replace the tranny temp sensor.
