Default Trany flush whats your opinion??

I was thinking on taking the truck for a transmission flush today, and having them add a bottle of Lucas transmission fluid to it as well. Just loking for your opinion if this is a wise choice or a waste of cash to do the flush.

i just bought this Disco so I have no idea when fluid change would have been done.

Dont bother with the flush or the Lucas.
Just change the filter and be done with it.
That will take you a hour.
Then in a few months drain and refill the trans fluid one more time.
Done.

This will cost you half of what the flush will and be better for your trans in the long run.
Do not add additives unless you are desperate to try and fix a problem and only as a last ditch resort.

pretty much what spike said...
You can add white shepard stop leak if you are having a slight seep. but that is about it. And for the "flush" most places you bring it to utilize a chemical process and this has proven itself to be a very bad thing to the transmissions.
adn its not that you get up too early on Sundays, its that we tend not to turn on our computers until later.

Vavoline also makes an extended ATF for vehicles over 75,000 miles, I recommend it as well as a shot of Lucas to keep all the seals in good shape and allow the valving to stay freed up.
