Default two part question

Hey Fellas:

First part:
looking for a check-off list of parts and supplies needed to attempt my 1st tranny fluid replacement.

Second part question:
Is there a maintenance schedule sticky that tells me when to replace what and at what intervals? I know disco mike has his 60k mile fluid replacement or projects that should be completed. Looking for something in addition to this list.

thanks,
Rob

Are you going to replace the transmission filter?

take care with the little clippy/spacer things that hold it together. pretty easy to snap them. filter kit should include new gasket and o ring. filter is held on by torx bolts....maybe 27. transfer pump is also handy

Really?

Didn't know you were here. Should have looked me up! So you know about the new barn (about a year old), paint job on house and total exterior redo about three years ago? We're talking about the same house, right? Yellow? When we last chatted, sounded like you haven't been in Boxford for a while.

Hand pump for the fluid is the only extra thing you will need. One of the $10 ones that screw right into the gallon bottle are fine. Still kills me they didn't put a check/fill tube on these trucks.

That's the one on the right, the Dolans. That one is hilarious, I go over and play with their farm collection frequently. They have several goats, roosters, horses, etc. I was only there from like 8pm to 8am the next day, on my drive down to VA.

To Snafu/Disco fries.

Harbor Fright (no typo) tools, right? For the screw-on fill hand pump, right?

See some disco tranny filter kits on ebay between 20 and 40 dollars. Other LR vendors are charging upwards of $100. Am I better off on ebay or paying homage to LR Gods and spending the extra $60 and getting one of their filter packages?
