Default Vibration/Rattle when stopped

I searched the forums and couldn’t find someone with the same issue.

when I am stopped at a light or moving slowly there is a pretty obvious rattle/vibration from what seems to be the passenger side dash. It to some degree sounds like a plastic part.

noise goes away the minute the car is rolling.

has anyone else experienced this kind of noise?

I am at a loss for where to even start trying to resolve this.

The blower motor for the HVAC is behind the glove box and can make noises due to age or debris. Does the noise persist when the climate control is turned off?

My fault for missing this in my original post - my hope too was the fan. The noise doesn't change HVAC on or off. It only changes stopped vs moving.

Just to try and track this down, can you check under the hood with the engine running? A lot of the time noise will travel into the interior and will sound like it's coming from a different location.

I would also invest the $4 or so for a mechanic's stethoscope from Harbor Freight, which will serve you better in determining which part is rattling than the Mark 1 ear.
