Want to hear about my gas mileage - and fishing?
Went to Beaver Bend (Broken Bow) OK this weekend.
Austin to Dallas @ 85-90 MPH - 14.9 MPG (One guy and his gear)
Dallas to OK @ 80-85 - 12.1 MPG (Three guys and their gear - and one of those luggage bags on the roof)
The last 300 miles - against a headwind at 80 MPH - 14.8 MPG: 100 miles with three of us and that stupid bag on the roof, then 200 miles just me back to Austin.
The fly shop ran out of licenses - lots of stupid people fishing for not many fish - I didn't see anyone with more than a couple small fish.
There was a person on every rock, the park was packed - between 3 of us we cought 1 fish.
Compare to our trip there in January (12 degrees): The park was empty and there were lots of huge fish - we were throwing back fish bigger than they were keeping this weekend.

If you ever make it up to Grand Lake, give me a shout. I'll show you where to fish...
Sorry to hear about your numbers, hope the beer was cold..
