Default water pump leaking at weep hole

We have replaced 2 water pumps that were leaking at weep hole. After 30 min. driving there would be a wet spot about 1 foot in dia. where it was parked. The second pump .has only been on 30 days

Are you using new Rover replacement water pumps or aftermarket?

You are sure the spot is from the pump/coolant and not from the condensation drain for the A/C right.

My question is why would a pump only last 30 days and one lasted 180 days

Either the belt is to tight and it is causing the bearings to wear prematurely, not likely but possable, most likely is just bad pumps.
I imagine that the first one that you bought had a warrenty and the replacements were given to you under warrenty. If that is the case then you need a different brand of pump.
Dont get a replacement, get your money back. What brand of pump did you buy? The rest of us need to know so that we dont buy this brand.

02 model original pump locked up at 75K miles Ford dealer replaced pump don't know brand it lasted 30K We replaced it with Proline pump from Rovers North it lasted 9K Before installing last pump (warranty) we flushed system and installed new coolant Dexcol (orange) this pump has only lasted 3K. Rover North said they have not had any problems with these pumps and they are willing to give money back toward purchase of OEM Pump. Proline pump cost $90

I have heard from other forums that the Proline pumps are bad and Rovers North told them the same thing. They got their money back and used it towards a LR pump.
Get the OEM pump, note to self, dont buy a Proline water pump.
