Well I just bought a bone stock 96 forest green discovery SE with 160 thousand on it for $2900. Im brand new to Land Rovers and have absolutely no idea about anything to do with land rovers. So i was wondering did i get a good deal? And also where is a good place to buy aftermarket parts?
Thanks

1. start with checking the maintence records on your vehicle.
2. run your VIN number to check for recalls - they are out of warranty but will give you some idea of what to watch for trouble-wise.
3. then check out discomike's STICKY about 60k service. do ALL the items on the list.
4. figure out how much and what kind of offroading are you going to be doing. this will give you some idea of what you want to purchase and/or modify on your rover.
5. search this site for aftermarket part suppliers using SEARCH function. some to get you started:
atlanticbritish.com
lucky8.com
oldmanemu.com (?) google this one...
roverparts.com
roversnorth.com

good luck and keep us updated with posts and pictures!
