Default Weight of ARB Bull/Winch Bar

Does anyone have the weight specs? I'm trying to determine how much it weighs so I can decide if I will add spacers under the FRONT of my TF MD springs to give me the height I am looking for (in the front) or switch the MD springs out for HD springs (in the front). I'm hesitant to switch over to the HD springs due to ride harshness w/o carrying the proper weight. I don't have a winch and probably wont have one for awhile (it's not on the top of my list).

Any input on the weight of the Bullbar or ride characteristics of the TF HD springs is appreciated.

Probably around 70 to 80 pounds plus a winch, call it around 60 pounds. Should you switch, put everything on the truck and see how it sits, then decide. As for spacers, if you do much wheeling I would suggest replacing the springs.

Shipping weight is 150 pounds, if I recall correctly, but it comes in a crate the size of a small NYC apartment. I would say by the time I put my warn M8000 in it, it was back up to 150 pounds at least. I wasn't about to try to line it up on the mounting brackets by myself.

Also, if you get the 99-02 version, have a look at the 03-04 version installation instructions. I think they've improved the mounting to the chassis by having more bolts in more directions in the frame, to help keep it from rotating. If they haven't added these updates to the older version, you might want to buy some bolts and add them yourself.

I have the terraF hd springs, and they are very, very rough even with a bunch of crap in the back lol. they really are for people who are loaded for safari with a loaded roof rack and 4 explorers to boot.

The HD springs were designed for heavily laden vehicles with around 300KG of extra weight. The rear MD springs are around 300-340lbf/inch vs. the rear HD which are around 360lbf/inch

The front MD are 180lbf/inch and the front HD are around 230lbf/inch

Thank you for the input guys. I figured the bumper was in the hundred pound range. It looks like I'm going the Spacer route.

So, you are not going the smarter way as I suggested and mount the bumper and then see if you need to raise it.

I run heavy duty up front but mine are OME. I run medium duty rear. I have the 99-02 ARB bumper plus i have front skid plate for steering. The ride might be stiff compared to others. but once i get another person and gear The ride and handling is perfect. highway and trail or total off road. I would not even consider medium duty. Especially since I DO plan on adding the winch. As for spacers. well to be honest I have never been a fan of spacers in general. I have taken off more than once and re-installed the bumper by myself. It is not too heavy. a few jack stands to help support it while you align it.

I am headed to Franks next week to do the fluids.... maybe we should meet up at some point.
