Default Wet/damp passenger floorboard/carpet....help!

Hello all-

Really need some help with this.....

Driving to Vegas today on my way to Colorado, my wife commented that the passenger side floor (carpet/mat) was damp/wet.

I pulled over in a gas station around midnight, and took a look.

From what I could see, as it was dark, there was what looked almost like caulking or something that was leaking slightly (underneath the car directly under the passenger footwell area). When I pressed it with my finger, the liquid flowed much quicker.

The liquid appeared to be clear water (steamed when it hit the hot exhaust). Definitely not the cooling system, as that would be piping hot, and all fluids are full. Could it be some kind of a drain for the AC (which we were using). Perhaps a drain tube that fell off?

Any thoughts would be appreciated!

Seriously search for "wet carpet" and "A/C Vents" and you will see you need to clean out your A/C vents. Crawl under your truck and look for small rubber nipples coming out of the floor about where you driver and passenger feet go. Stick a piece of wire up there and get all the crud out. You way need to pull up your carpet to let them dry so you don't get mold.

Need to crawl under the truck and clear out the 2 a/c drain tubes that go thru the floor and drip down each side of the tranny. When you get to where you are going, I would suggest you pull up the carpet and pad, vacuum out all the water and let it dry before reinstalling, or you will get moldy.
