Default What am I thinking!?! 07 tahoe

Don't think I'm bipolar, because I just posted that I was getting an 04.
But I'm considering one other vehicle.. And it's by a brand I hate. And it's huge and can't touch the capability of the discovery. But somehow I'm drawn to
It.

I was ready to drop 10k on a NICE 04. but now I'm looking at 07 tahoes!! We don't have very technical terrain down here. Mostly just mud. And tight trails (which the hoe won't fit through) so it would get me where I'm going. But there everywhere. Everyone has one though mine will be lifted. I'm thinking maybe it's a good thing it's not as capable it won't take me stupid places. (sinking my last disco)

Can someone talk some sense into me? Honestly please no flaming

Tahoe- good vehicle if you're taking your girlfriends out for a day at the mall.
Disco- good vehicle if your taking you tiger for a walk in the forest.

this is a really hard decision... I completely agree that the tahoe cant even think about touching the discovery.

Lol to be honest save your money then and buy some smaller fuel efficient vehicle. If you have no need for a SUV. Personally I would get a second car if I had a garage or no snow.

Can't convince you that a Tahoe would be a bad choice, but in my opinion is is a bit lacking in 'soul'...

Tahoes are good trucks. They are pretty reliable and easy to mod/work on for the most part so I have heard.

Ug, I'm in the same shape here.

I want an SUV that can carry 7 people, though I only have 5 in my family and don't expect more soon. But if friends want to tag along or anything it's a no go, so a 7 passenger would be nice. And yes an SE7 would work, but those back seats are seriously fit for nobody with longer legs than Minnie Me.

BUT, alas my Disco! I've loved this truck from the first drive.

Truth is though, I'm basically a wussy when it comes to offroading. I hate to admit it but it's true. I put blood sweat and tears into this vehicle and it's nice and shiny, the last thing I really want to do it muck it up sliding into a tree. Am I alone in that? Maybe so.

At any rate the Disco has been a very pretty, very uneconomical grocery getter. I've seriously got into the woods ONCE. So, a little extra room would be nice and more practical for my family.

Thinking about an 05 Nissan Armada. Opinions? Experiences?
