What could this Noise be?
Hey guys,
As I was pulling out of my neighborhood this morning I heard a sound coming from the front end. It was a buzzing sound that got louder as I sped up. It almost sounded like a crop duster. It didnt sound good so I turned around and switched cars. I dont want to drive it until I can find out what it is.
Here's the deal...
I did go off-roading yesterday, but it wasnt making the sound on the drive home. Could I have broken something?? There was snow, and lots of spinning at some points...
Also, I recently installed CDL, however... when I disengaged it, the light did not go off, I tried reversing, shutting off the car and everything else that makes the light go off...
I figured since I disengaged it with the lever, it was safe to drive home, even with the light on. I really hope that wasnt a mistake...
Let me know what this could be... I really hope its not the front drive shaft...
Thanks for any input.

It could be a stick stuck under the truck.
If the CDL were still engaged you would be fine unless you were trying to park or turn a tight corner.
Even then it would not make any noise, it would just be hard to turn tight.
You will have to get under the truck and have a look see Cam.

If thats it, i'll be thrilled.
Weird thing is though... its doesnt do it in reverse...

Well, no sticks...
The CDL Light is still on... i've tried everything to get it to go off.
Is there anything else that this sound can be??
Im worried to drive it more than a few feet because it just doesnt sound right.
BTW, as I said before, it does not do it in reverse... if that narrows it down any...
