Default What the F#@*%...

I start my truck( '99 Disco II ) step on the brake, pull the trigger on the gear shifter and nothing. It takes me several attempts to get out of park and once out of park she shifts fine. Any thoughts? Thanks - RR.

You haven't done much searching, bad brake switch, see if your brake are working, if not replace it.

you have to be pretty specific with the searches, its not always the best search engine i've found.

Do you have your answers now though?

There are 2 switches located on the brake pedal arm, the one with the hose is for the cruise control the other is your regular brake switch.
Do your brake lights work?
