Default What size nylocks?

For the front propshaft? I've got a spare propshaft and after my recent experience will carry it with me on longer trips. I want to go buy a set of nuts without crawling under the truck in the ice and cold. Thanks.

You're somewhat close to Andrew-LR2001Silver, you mine as well just buy some nuts from him.

Good grief. They're not magical.

3/8x24 - get them in at least grade 5 or stronger. At a minimum, Lowes has them around here. I bet Ace would have them too. If nothing else, slip into a Fastenal.

Wow, they're not magical? Damn, that was definitely what I was inferring! Thanks Jimmy!

Yup, 3/8x24 grade 5. Assuming you still have the OE fasteners, which are grade 5. Ideally you don't want to mix grades between nuts and bolts.

How mature of you. If you're done behaving like a toolbag...

There's no need to buy them from someone out of state when a trip to a local hardware store will suffice. I'm all for supporting folks in their business ventures, but suggesting someone buy a commonly stocked hardware item from out-of-state is absurd. Maybe someone needs to withhold their suggestions to topics they actually have a real clue about... only magical nuts should be bought from out of state.

He's not in a rush, shipping will cost the same as the gas to get to the store, and the nuts will be almost the same price. Are you missing the logic here? I'll Amazon Prime a soccer ball if I don't need it that day, why not? If I'm performing a service on my car I'll absolutely pick up hardware locally, but why take the time when I can just have it shipped to my work if I'm not in a rush, saves gas and time.

I now understand your true logic:
https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...all-you-55583/ You two are all antsy in the pantsy for each other.

Setting that aside, you think shipping is the same as the cost to go to the store? Unless he lives hours away from the store, even at these gas prices shipping will be more. Hell, the shipping will be more than the nuts! ($0.88 each at Fastenal - I love their website; so easy to quickly find what you need) I bet he passes a hardware store at least once a week just going about daily life.

It really isn't about the money. It's about options. He now knows he has more than one.

My friendship with Drew is not involved with situation, I'm simply giving him the easiest option that I believe is out there. Shipping should be around a dollar, and since Andrew is giving away nuts with his propshaft I'm sure he's not charging much for them.
