Am I wrong or is there a missing tube at the bottom of the unit in the 2nd photo. There's a line heading off at 90 degrees but it seems to me that the glaring white plastic piece facing what appears to be downshould have something running to/from it.

I wondered the same thing, but what do I know?

I see jmt is the resident funny guy, cool man!

I will look at it again here in a little bit, but I'm pretty sure the only lines I have are the ones I tried to show in the pictures.

kjordan, the 2.5" canister in pic #1has a vacuum hose inthe back which pulls the internal diaphram back, pulling your MISSING linkage cable to open the throttle and maintain speed.

W/out having your truck in front of me, and if you're not comfy doing it, I'd suggest taking it to a trusted mech.
The cruise system is not complicated, even w/out manuals, but it's time consuming to track down problems. (usually vacuum hose leaks)

It is attached by the light metal bracket and the rubber surround. I thought it was missing too, but this is a D2, which is a little different than our girls. Look again, and you will see there is a metal bracket that is connected to the diaphragm and the rubber-surrounded linkage..

I'll be dipped!!
I didn't have my cheaters on, so my guess would be vacuum hoses splitting like both of mine? or don't these newfangled trucks do that?
