Question What's this plug for? Please help ID mystery plug.

Looked under the hood of my 2003 Disco, and I found a disconnected round yellow male plug, with an O-ring and two prongs, at the end of a 6-7 inch length of "wire"/cable/cord that was laying between the EVAP canister filter, SAI pump, and engine compartment fuse box. I couldn't see any empty sockets and I can't figure what it's for or where it goes.
See attached pics. (I propped up the mystery plug for the pics. It was originally laying on top of the engine compartment side of the wheel well)

Thanks...

That's for the wheel speed sensor in the front hub. If you have no ABS codes showing, yours may be bypassed. It's a pretty common "mod"

Thanks...
I don't have any ABS codes showing.
Do quotations around the word "mod" mean the modification fixed a problem or does "mod" mean modification that just hides a problem?

Is this a problem? Do I need to, or should I, correct this?
Does this mean there's a problem with my ABS?
Can you point me to more info about why and how to disconnecting and bypassing the wheel speed sensor is a good thing etc?

Thanks again.

It means someone probably ran a new cable and connector direct to the computer and left the old wire in place. Or someone disabled your warning lights in the dash... If they don't come one with bulb check at startup.

The first is most likely as you should notice a non functioning ABS.

If you purchase new ABS sensors, the wiring is very long. LR updated the part years ago and recommends replacing the sensor and running the wire all the way back to the control unit to eliminate the plugs which have caused issues in the past
