wheel size????
long story short, i wanna put 20x8.5" rockstars on my 03 DII. i know our bolt pattern is 5x120 (4.72") and they dont make a rockstar in that size.
i've read, though, that a wheel with a 5x4.75" bolt pattern will work. is this true? they make a rockstar in that bolt pattern and they have a 38mm offset option which will work.

Nope, and given the crowd that hangs out here, I'm afraid you're not all that likely to find someone with a certain answer. Most of the regulars here are more prone to pull bling-trucks *out* of places they shouldn't have gone. :-)
Anyone putting 20" rims on a Discovery is probably putting 33" tires on them, and has a different set of problems from yours.

well I just bought a Disco with 19" wheels that I don't much care for, from what I gather they are from a Range Rover, not sure how they got there. Regardless, I've been looking to go smaller and the same issue confronts me. I have been trying to find wheel that'll fit the 5x120, yeah, I can't find anything. So I'm interested as well to know if a 5x4.75 would work, just to figure out what my options are.
don't listen to mike, he's got dubz on his rover..he just doesn't want you to have a more bling rover than his!
i dunno, look for some bling bmw wheels they're 5x120mm. I've also read somewhere that 4.75 is close enough to work.

You will learn, that if you want answers, sometimes you need to answer ours, cause sometimes they may be worth your listening to them.
i don't mind the ride quality of 20's. also, i don't wheel my disco because i don't want to break anything. i've got a jeep for the hardcore stuff. also, the wheel should fit on my spare tire carrier (285/50/20 terra grappler.. 31x11.5). basically the only thing my disco sees is asphalt, concrete, gravel, grass, snow, and ice. i dont mind if the wheels scratch up either. a black sharpie can fix that momentarily until i can get my buddy to powder coat them all again if it gets too bad.
that being said... is this doable?
