Default Why does t look like this?

I did a HG replacement in my disco last weekend and am having some misfires on 4,6 and 8 on heavy acceleration only. I have replaced the plugs, and swapped the wires. I also swapped the rocker assembly since mine had alot of gunk on it. I am still getting the misfires. The three cylinders attach to both coils so I don't think that is the problem, but there is clearly a problem.

The picture below is after I wiped number 2 off and was waiting for my cleaner to penetrate the gunk on 6 and 8. Could this be from bad valves? Leaking pan gasket? I'm not sure were to look.

Any advice would be great.

Coil packs maybe? All those cylinders run off the same one.

Ugh, mea culpa. That is NOT my engine, that is my SPARE engine. I pulled the wrong picture. Please ignore. That engine had a massive overheat/HG failure.

I don't know how to delete my thread. Sorry.

Thanks for the response... I pulled the wrong picture but I had the same look in the other engine (the one I am having problems with). I discounted the coil packs because, though I don't remember which cylinders go to which pack, those cylinders hit BOTH packs. So if the packs were bad, I would think I would see more misfires. I do have a spare coil pack that I can use to swap, but such a PITA.
