Default Will this arb bumper work on my rover?

I just found this near my house and was wondering if it would work on my rover. I am also interested in any thoughts on the thing. http://knoxville.craigslist.org/pts/1188728582.html
Thanks

Are you sure? Thats what it says in the the post but I don't think he means the actual land rover series vehicles. After talking to him a bit ago he said he wasn't sure what land rover it fit but he was going to check the serial number. He only had it on a ford ranger. Im going to go look at it tonight.

i can't tell from the pic, maybe your right. just measure the mounting brackets and the bumper it's self. I guess if it's close you could MOD the hell out of it to get it to work. it's a great deal on an ARB though good luck man.

I would be surprised if the bumper hasn't already been modified to fit the ranger. If nothing else I'm sure he had to drill new holes to mount it which will weaken the mounting plates. Personally I would say pass on it and wait for another to come along that you know for certain is for a D2 and was used on a D2. Be patient and one will pop up again. I see them regularly on craigslist for about that same price.

or you could just get that one and then have a local shop make new brackets to fit it to your truck... it would cost a hell of a lot less to have a shop fit it to your truck than to buy a new one..

yeah, I have access to a welder, so I was gonna scream buy it. That is cheap as heck, and you have a lot of dollars left to play with. Overall width would be my only concern.

Pass on that pos. If it had the provision for the winch, it has been cut away. Also he says it has been repainted, which means RUST. You would have to order the crush cans to mount it with, assuming he didn't bugger it up when putting it on the Ranger. It is also missing the turn signals, which you can get from AB for about $40.00, but I'd pass. I got my ARB bumper during the 10% off weekend at AB - think it ended up being $1k including shipping.

I went and looked at it last night and it looks good. The mounting brackets/ tubes haven't been messed with and from my rough measurements, it looks like it will fit. It doesn't have a winch mount but at this point that doesn't matter as I have no money for one! I figure if it works I can sell my brushguard for about the same price and have a better approach angle. The only thing that is making me hessitate is that it is for a Toyota Land Cruiser not Land Rover (people get that wrong a lot around here). It still looks like it would measure up but are there any more thoughts on this? I have emailed arb to see if they can get me some comparison specs between the two.
