Default windsheild cowl ideas

Hey guys, trying to figure out what to do about a cracked up windsheild cowl. Im having a hard time finding used ones and Im not paying 300+ for a new one. Ive got a small corner missing from the drivers side and thought maybe there was something I could use to create a new one, like a mold of the old one or something. Thanks for any ideas. Its pretty much the last peice on my disco that is broke....

I'm in the same predicament, we have water leaking in and I think it's the broken cowl. I'm at the gorilla tape phase soon. The used one's are so brittle it's almost a waste of time. Maybe a custom flashing cowl!!!

I saw this one (made of fiberglass) referenced in another thread on the forum: LAND ROVER FRONT WIPER PANEL COVER DISCOVERY 2 II 99 – 04 JAK000010PMA MB | Miami British

Your best bet is to find one on eBay or ask that guy in KY (Drillbit). When looking for parts like that, patience is the key even though you need it yesterday. I searched eBay and none are up currently.

how about the following for a hack DIY:

Sugru to bond plastic pieces together: The future needs fixing - the future needs fixing - sugru

Some ABS sheet you can cut with large snips: 12"x24"x 1 8" ABS Plastic Sheet Custom Stereo Plate Textured Front Smooth Back | eBay

Given enough patience, it should make for a reasonable repair.

Other idea is to fix it with fiberglass. A fiber glass repair kit with the cloth, spreadable jelly and spray paint should do the trick.
