OK. I'm getting tired of driving 40 miles to the dealer for wiper blades. I want to use auto parts store blades. What blades or wiper arms do I need to get?

what about refills I've heard a few guys say the just slid the old rubber out and put new rubber in? reuse the arm a blade frame? can we do that?

I have done the DI wiper arm conversion. $12 for the set at local parts yard (or $35 from a parts seller here) and $9 blades at any store in town. Just remember to get the ones for a 98 and below (D1) had a couple people try to get the same wiper blade as the year of the rover, not the arms.... For many years prior to the DI arms, I would get the refill rubber blades but they seem harder to find as most places just carry the full blades.

rockauto has original refills on sale/clearance 6-7 dollars, these are the same as the trico 30 dollar refills....go figure
