I read in another thread that someone just pulled the connectors (both at the intake and the radiator), cleaned and put in dielectric grease in and that cured it.......They confirmed no chafing in the harness, so I don't think I have a short.
Connectors at ECM may need a rest or cleaning too. No chafing may rule out shorts but not intermittent or hard opens. If the new ECT sensor isn't a fix your wiring should be carefully checked to ECM.
......

What's this? A productive response? SHOCK AND AWE!!! :disco:

In all seriousness, Tom at GBR agreed that it might be ECM related but was HIGHLY doubtful that was it. For $20, I'll order the sensor and do that and see if that clears it, but you've given me another option too.

Thanks!

The guys at GBR are great! They've spent way too much time on the phone with me helping me decide what parts I needed.

I TOTALLY fell into them- had no idea about them or anything. Much of the reason I got a Disco in the first place was due to the move to UT. I have a 4 door Wrangler Rubicon that is currently our trail toy, so I needed a minivan and got the Disco to fit that bill. As soon as I got back from the fly and drive getting the Disco, I found them and all the cool stuff they do. I had them do a once over on it and they totally rock- very honest and realistic.

Quick update: I pulled both sensors and slathered in dielectric grease. Code came back the next day. It only took a few minutes, so I'll order the new upper one and report back.
