Default Moderator approval?

I posted a reply to this thread the other day:

https://landroverforums.com/forum/di...console-80037/

but got an alert that my post needed to be approved by a moderator, I'm assuming because it included an inline pic and I'm a relatively new member.

How long does moderator approval typically take? Should I avoid embedding pics in the future?

thanks.

I think it's either 5 or 10 posts.

You mean, 5 or 10 before I no longer require approval?

How long does it take before an individual post gets approved? Are the mods not that active on here?

thanks!

We are active but it doesn't alert us to a post that needs approved. So unless we read every thread, you PM one of us or post a thread we don't know.

The mods though are like anyone else we read things that look interesting so we don't catch it all. We are volunteers and moderate the best we can.

The embedded links are what got you on the spam filter. So until you get a few posts that may happen.

By the way found your post and approved it. If it happens again pm me.

Understood. Thanks for the info. Didn't realize that the approval was more passive. It's been awhile since I posted on on a vBulletin forum (this is vBulletin, yeah?). I'll try to avoid embedding links until I've got some more posts.

Cheers.

So posts by new members may take days to actually be posted?
