Best way to sell a used 02 Freelander?
I bought an 02 Freelander SE in Decemeber w/ 84 miles. w/o doing the research, w/o thinking about it. I bought it because I was desperate for an All Wheel Drive and it was the only one in stock at my Price Range for $8,000.
Doing the research, it needs a new timing belt and is 11K miles passed when it should have been done with the previous owner. I don't care to spend $2K on a car I just purchased.
It's a nice ride, it looks very good, it is in excellent condition. If the model had a good reliability history, I would very much consider spending the money to have this done -- and then I'd be set. But that doesn't seem to be guarenteed with this model from what I have been reading?
I have had it on Craigslist for about $7,800 and no takers. Anyone have a good recommendation? I live in Eastern Washington State in the US. (About 300 miles from Seattle in Spokane). I know this is a niche vehicle and there are many Rover enthusiasts with deep pockets that would love it I am sure? Any ideas?
....is there any reason why I SHOULD pay for this job and keep the car? I do love all the "perks" and "aestetics"... the reliability ratings just scare me... and dealing with Land Rover.
