Default Courtesy & Map Lights Malfunction

I purchased a 2002 Freelander recently with 55K miles on it. Although there are some issues with the car, I think they are minor and can be fixed without paying too much (knocking on wood). Overall, I am really happy with my purchase and am enjoying the car very much.

Ok, here is another problem I have with the car. My interior courtesy and map lights do not turn on when I press the buttons on the light fixture. However, when I open the door, the courtesy light comes on. I have used the lights before and I have seen them work. I have been having this issue only since the last 2-3 days.

I would really appreciate any inputs you guys can give me on what I should do next to diagnose / fix the problem. Thank you in advance.

The circuit board terminals to the wiring connector gets "rubbed" away over time, resulting in an intermittent open circuit to the map lights. You will need a new map light assembly.

Default map and couresty light on 2002 Freelander

Same troubles. Large middle light works only when door opens but other tow small lights never work. None work with pushing any of the buttons.
