I've got a P1471 and P1472 Codes, any suggestions as a cause??

Evap purge valve flow blocked.

 

Thanks Mike. What will it take to fix and is this something I should take care of quickly. Also, is this something I can do or do I need to bring to my dealer.

 

theyre codes for your vis motors. depending on weither or not youve had a new tune download since 2003, they may be fixed by that, the codes may just need to be cleared, or the motors may need to be replaced, easy to do, not sure on the price of them though. have you noticed a loss of fuel econ? or power over 3000 rpm? they can cause both if theyre actually bad, but they do often throw codes just for fun.

 

This is my daughters car, so i"ll need to ask her. I drove it today and did not really notice anything but I never thought it had much power.

sorry man, never seen a 1074 on a freelander, what are you reading it with?
