starting issues
just tested starting circuit on my 1999 2ltr diesel freelander.
the starting is intermittent, but the problem is i think the central control unit that controlls the immobiliser. the starter motor is fine, the starter relay is fine and on the connections on to the relay test ok. i.e. the permanent live is ok the switched live to starter is ok when the relay is fired artificially and there is switched live every time the key is turned. the only other wire to the relay is the one that goes to the ccu directly,
so i guess my question is can this be sorted out without loads of computer gizmos or do i have to take it to the robbing b***tards at the main dealership.???
thanks for the help in advance.
