Default '96 RR Air Suspension UNLOCK update- 3 days

I think I've won this one for now.

Last week, My p38 hard faulted eas to bumpstops
I knew it leaked down overnite in cold weather for approx 2mos (I'm slightly passive-resistant).

I bought (12) 1/4 x 7/16 o-rings @ hardware - $5 or so
I spent 1hr installing (A-d-d) said o-rings & spray soaping for leaks.

I spent 2hrs jumpering, unplugging, bypassing to conclude that I may end up bastardizing my truck to make it driveable.
(instant gratification)

BUT, I found online EAS unlock software "beta" free. (divine intervention) BONUS

All-in-All I spent approx 15mins in my truck READING-CLEARING-UNLOCKING the dreaded EAS computer.
In another 5mins he-she-it had filled the tank & risen to height.

In 3 days I've started it at least a dozen times, driven well over a hundred miles & I believe it's only slightly pumped up twice after being parked.
& that was less than 5 seconds each.

If I weren't so lazy, it never would have happened, but I love the challenge offixing things that's why I have (2) rovers.

LOL, greg

g409 -- Congrats - that is awesome. How do you interface the software to your rover? notebook / cable? / other way?

I wonder if 93 EAS is similar enough to 96 ....

My EAS did the same to me after storage and I tried to start it on a 0 volt, stone dead battery. Several other times it recovered just fine after a long sleep BUT I had disconnected the battery completely. the 0volt click-click-cllllliiiicccccK kicked it into safe mode. I jump it with the pigtail socket 1/8/11/27/28/etc.... method but I really want to restore the functioning system. It is a great option.

Thanks,
TD

I slapped together a desktop from a bunch of parts (honest), put it on 2x4's on my pass seat in the garage & ran ext cord.
I made up comm cable from serial (com1) to obtII
after unzipping files, you have (3) programs: read faults - recal ride heights - unlock EAS ECU
They're menu driven - easy

I'd like to say that I read about doing rover classic w/obdI, but I wasn't paying too much att as mine's a p38

type "eas reset" into your browser or "sourceforge" or "argusvisual.com"

The common thread is a person AKA "malafax_dand"
He (&friends) spent last year on this.
He's a rover owner

Default EAS software

Greg,
did you do anything to stop the errors from coming back?

I have the software but I can't figure out why on most days it goes back down.
