Default Still having trouble please help if you can...

My battery died of old age. I replaced it and the resetting all went well except for the radio. I put the key code in instead of the radio code.... and kept doing it!

By the time I realised the error the radio wouldn't let me try to put it right anymore. No matter how long I held in the BND button it will not give me the CODE IN screen. I have four hyphens displayed and nothing else. I tried disconnecting the battery and doing it all over again but the hyphens are all I get. What do I need to do to get the radio working again please?

Default four dashes

Richard,

Put the key in the ignition, roll down the driver window (to not get locked out), turn the ignition to "on" without starting the car, turn the power to the radio on, and let sit for over 1 hour.

Make sure the accessories are off so you do not drain the battery.

When you return, hold the bnd button for a few seconds, and the code screen will pop up.

Enter the code, and the radio should turn on.

Enjoy!

Sadly, no. The code in did appear as you said but when I put in the code it displayed the code but the radio did not come on.

That fixed it! It would seem that the car has had a second radio fitted and tucked behind the card in the user manual wallet was another card. Tried the number on that and hurray!

Thank you very much indeed.
