Default Air filter

Hello. I just got a 2006 range rover td6 and was wondering where is the location of its air filter and how to clean it? Also, is it normal for the idle to up about a needle every 4 or 5 seconds? Any replies would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.

Default RE: Air filter

OK, stand back fellas - I think I can handle this one.

I have a 99 RR, so I am sure that your air filter is in a different place, BUT - here is your answer:

You should have a leather bound bible-sized book laying around.

Inside it will say: Owners Manual.

I have not committed mine to memory, but $ 50 says that there is a schematic in there that shows where it is.

Sorry to crack wise - it was just too good to pass up.

That, and the air filter is about the only thing I can identify under my hood. Sorry, bonnet(t).

It has to be in the Owner's Manual.

If not, I am sure that it is featured in one of those $ 125 epics that you can buy.
