I keep getting these $2,000 off coupons on 2008 Range Rover HSE's. I always laugh when I get them because I hear of people getting nearly $20,000 off!!!

 

I was in Rover Manhattan today picking up one of ours and they were writing a contract on an 08, fully loaded including luxury package and rear entertainment (although not supercharged) for $59,995. Sickening in my opinion - being I paid a helluva lot more for mine 6 months ago and also in doing so they're further deflating the value of all the others for resale.

As far as the coupons...those things show up all the time once you're a registered rover owner or in a dealership or two's service department computer. You'll probably get a bunch of the 10 or 20% off on service too - except for when your vehicle goes out of warranty. Mysteriously,
you can never find a coupon then...

 

Rover re-sale is basically non-existent. I'm betting we all knew it when we bought them too considering it's not a new trend. I'd rather see LR stay in business, so i'm glad they're doing what they have to

I really wonder if anyone uses the coupons...

luxury1, funny..I just received the same $2000 coupon today. It also is good for $1500 off a sport or LR3. They are really trying to get rid of these 2008's.

 

Rover of Manhattan, Monmouth and Princeton - none have received 09's yet. They made it clear to me that factory has to get rid of 08's before
sending 09's out. When is the last time you can remember when a new model year wasn't available by September?? Oddly, Monmouth told me they have delivered 17 cars thus far this month - 3 different couples buying 2 at a time (why not, when they're $30k+ discounted) and Manhattan over 25. I didn't ask my guy at Princeton. Bottom line....cash is king. I don't think we're going to see 09's for a while...and in limited supply at best. Since the new computerized version is due in 2010, and a new body config in 2012, I would guess the 09's will be a small and limited supply.

 

I went to a party recently hosted by my LR dealer in Lake Bluff IL. The 78K 08 FFRR was on sale for 59K hows that for a cupon shopers dream........ Black with White interior

 

I think if you wait another month or so, the rest of the 2008's will probably be sold in the low $50's.

 

I am not sure, I don't think that they can go below $58k as that is the lowest I have seen anywhere and it has been consistent with dealerships. What a deal, I wish mine was olderso I could justify replacing it.

 

I found somewhere that is now letting it go for $56,995.00 Unbelievable. If I waiting just a couple of weeks I would have saved a couple of grand. I bet by January 2009, it'll be even less.
