Default IRC UK online code services

I need the EKA code for my NA 1997 Disco 1, because as the 3rd or 4th owner now, I don't have access to it.

As of right now, my Disco is immobilized in my front yard, a 3,000+ pound brick...I can't get it to start, no matter what I try (and I have tried a LOT of things, so far); I can't afford a tow truck to haul it the 100 miles to the nearest LR dealer.

In trying to remedy this issue myself, I ran across this website:

Rover, MG, Land Rover, & LDV Code Services. - MGROVERCODES.COM

Does anyone here know if this is legitimate? I don't mind spending the 30 US dollars to get the code...as long as this isn't a scam.

Any thoughts?

Thanks,
Rob

you said 1997d1?
is your alarm going off when you open the door, or just no crank? does the check engine lamp illuminate with the ignition on?
Have you checked all your fuses in the drivers fuse box and satellites above and below. one of them is an alarm system fuse.
there is a possibility as you state the vehicle is immobilized and the immobilization needs to be relearned. there was an update where the immobilization strategy was f'd out in the ecm using breakout box and T4. someone may want to chime in on their experience with the eka I've never done it, if it is possible the code is 1515 on nas vehicles. You may be at the dealers mercy here..
if you haven't searched yet try emergency key access

Mike,
I tried the 1515 EKA, but it did not work....I tried it about 5 times, even using a stopwatch to make sure of the timing.

I checked the fuses; other than a burnt 20amp for the driving lamps, all of them look good. I'm thinking the light fuse won't keep it from starting, lol.

When I try to start the vehicle, the "check engine" light does not illuminate; as far as I can tell, the alarm is not going off, either....it only beeps when I remove the key as I exit the truck.

The only thing I've done recently is to replace the battery in the remote; I've read that it has to be re-synced, but I never did this...do you think that might cause the immobilization?

When I turn the key to position 2, the buzzers work, the door bell dings, all the lights that are supposed to come on, do (low fuel, SRS, seat belt, oil); I can even hear the fuel pump charging the lines. But when I turn the key to start, all the lights stay on, but there's a clicking and/or buzzing sound coming from under the passenger footwell, in the vicinity of the relay nest.

I'm bumfuzzled as to what to do next....

you need to relearn the immobilization to the ecu, and or perform the immobilization
f out strategy with t4 and a special land rover tool

http://www.allbrit.de/downloads/Test...k_LRNAFOUT.pdf

the f out will prevent this from happening again

Can I do this at home, Mike, if I get the correct EKA code from an online retailer?

The nearest LR dealer is around 60-75 miles away from where I live, and I would have to rent a roll-back or dolly to get the car there....
