One thing that we will all agree on is that the Range Rover is the all around best Luxury SUV on the market. Not only will we agree but so will most of the car critics - except US News It is very rare to own the best of something. You may own a S550 but then there isthe Maybach and then the Rolls Royce, etc. so you never quite own the best sedan on the market.

To my knowledge, there is not anotherSUV out there that trumps theRange Rover in any price range and it is a good feeling!

 

I love my Rover, but I also like the Lexus LX. It is a good competitor to the Rover. The GL Mercedes is nice as well, but I don't like it as much as the Rover. I wish Acura would just take the plunge and make a full size something (iecar, truck, suv). I have always been impressed with the Acura product.

 

All of these are nice but the nod still goes to Range Rover.

What I really was hoping for was an X7 from BMW but they officially scrapped it. Fortunately they did invest technology into the current generation Range Rover.

Also, you are right, there is room for Acura to come up with larger SUV's and sedans. From what I have read, this is their intention.

 

I have to agree with Luxury1 my nod has and always will go to the Range Rover. I have only had the privilege of ownership for about 2 months and to sum it up it is amazing. I have always dreamed of owning one and I am truly in love with mine. The best part is that I live in New Jersey the land of soccer moms and Vinny,Tony,Joey,Bobby and Loui, diriving escalades or navigators. I love to park or pull up next to one and look over at them. I know it's petty but I love it. Especially the fact that I am heavily tattoed with a grizzly beard and a big guy overall. I do get some odd looks at the supermarket loading my daughter and groceries into a Range Rover. I thinks it s pretty funny.
