Default Project 94' RRC options

I have a black 1994 RRC with 143k on the clock. I've been using it as an on and off daily for the past 8-9 months or so. It's been great since I got it caught up on all the maintenance items. My vision for the truck is to turn it into a really cool off-roader, but to what I want to do it will obviously be really pricey.

I'd really like to save up to do a Tdi and 5spd swap, but I'm a college student and a poor racecar driver, and kind of need the spare cash.

The paint is in decent shape, there is no serious rust, only the usual surface stuff, but it's mechanically sound and has been maintained scrupulously since I've had it.

Does anyone have any advice for what I should do, or what the approximate value would be? It has no sign of leaking head gaskets, has no major leaks, and loves to be driven. I don't want to let it go for too little, but need to get rid of it! Any advice or help is greatly appreciated!

I just picked up a '93 RRC LWB so i'm in the same boat as you!
RRC's are growing in value. My recommendation is biased, I say keep it close to stock if you can, especially if the paint is original and the title is clean.

Wheel it as is for now, drive it as much as you can and get to know it inside and out. Some people go for the lift and tires first which is all great and fine if you can afford it but you'd be surprised how far your get on a good set of ats (not bfg) and open diffs. I'd say if I did it all again first off would be armor, bottom side, and also a front bumper and a good winch. I've got a 93 Classic in okay shape but my plan (if I keep it) I'll take the roof off, cage it up, 3" rte 12" 7100 bilsteins, air lockers (front and rear, hd axles, tall and skinny 34's hd front and rear bumpers. It'll be a woods beater but a decent one and the plan is to keep it street legal. Drive it a few hundred mile to wheel the poop out of it then drive it home

I'm kind of in the same boat myself, need a new toy. I would love to bobtail my 90 swb.
The price of suspension components are so cheap for RRC, it hard not to want to trail one.
But with the prices of RRC climbing daily, it hard to justify using a good RRC for a trail toy anymore.

i just got an 89 rrc with 63011 original miles on it , plans are get it onthe road and lift it slightly ,decent tires and wheels and somewhat keep it original
