Hello Folks i have a 2004 HSE and i changed out the Air compressor, for the air suspension. Okay now the light on adjustment have gone out and still have the inactive warning on. I did take it to Land Rover to be tested and they said very weak compressor, so its been replaced. I have tried reset the computer by battery disconnect and turning the steering wheel left to right 4 times each direction to stop. Am i missing something here guys or is my height adjustments out as well. It does go all the way up in running mode when driving.

Hello Folks i have noticed two green wires going to a sensor on the compressor. This sensor is held in with a bolt on top of the pump in compressor assembly. Does this need to be there just a question. Or has it been succeeded to different function now.

I believe the wires you are referring to is the compressor temp sensor. They need to be there.

As for the "inactive" message, its really hard to say what it could be, without knowing what fault codes are stored. It could be a continuation of the original problem, or it could be a new one. Without fault codes, its all guesswork.

 

Hello i am a jackass of all trades and master of none i have school diplomas certificates though i don’t have the Mitchel’s on-demand account nor the atmosphere. I am Mobil mech and occasional run into situations beyond my capacity. This scenario is a 2003 Range Rover HSE I had diagnosed the right front bearing as the wheel can be held and danced around in the bearing or bearing in the housing (hub) unfortunately only the new bearing is purchased also I had replaced the line for the right front air strut and it fails to correct the problem of the air bags not filling up at all

The right front whell wobbles while driving and the air struts do not maintain nor fill up with air

did you try replacing the Air Dryer assembly? FYI, don't take it apart unless you want a driveway full of tiny silica *****.

 

I replaced the compressor and it worked for a while until i took it to Land Rover. Now the warning still comes on, land rover never again. I am just going to replace the height adjustments and go from there i guess.

 

If you replace the height sensors, the system needs to be calibrated.

What did Land Rover do to make the light come back on???

 

Yes i agree on the collaboration. Just being pro active since the system will not reset by manually. Any suggestions.

 

More than likely they turned the light off cleared the codes or something the one I am working on gave code for the steering position sensor we also have questions about the function of the left front position sensor I haven’t found the instructions for changing the steering sensor yet. Messing around with occasional gets it to work though it fails again after short distance
The symptoms are the air bags do not fill up and the inactive light comes on
