Default RRC to convert or not to that is my question

Hello All,
I am new to the LRF and have owned a 1995 RRC for 3 yrs. My Air Compressor burned out due to a leak in the EAS. However, I didn't know where the leak was coming from because the Compressor had burned out. So I bought a used Compressor and successfully put it in. Only to then realize that both air bags on the left side of the car were all twisted up and leaking.
I am looking to you all, for opinions / comments regarding converting to coils or not.
And if so what coils and springs.
Thinking about OME Springs and Bilstien shocks, has anyone done this and how does the ride compare to Air.
I am not big off roadie but am looking for a balance between on and off road comfort and agility.
Any insight is appreciated,
Verde

I am a fan of the iar suspension. I would go to Arnott for new bags. Since the compressor is now good and the valve block works then just get the new bags, they are easy to install too.

I have driven a Rover with coils so I am not sure how it compares.

Air is deff. a better ride. But also remember 2 other air bags are a possibility of a leak. The worst will be if you get it all together and the valve block is leaking too. My point is you wont know till your all back together. Price it out. They have a bunch of kits availible, one's with shocks and without. The coil ride is alittle different but you will get used to it. Parts get real expensive so if you really want the air ride just be ready. If you do fix it he's right they do change easy. Also get yourself a spray bottle and dish soap. make a soapy mixture and spray at every fitting that a line goes in and spray the whole valve block. They leak around the solenoids too. You can get o-rings for the lines at the valve block and the fittings on the bags at the dealer. Good luck!

I love air suspension too, I could play with that stupid button all day long. My question is, is it worth it to spend that much on a vehicle that may not be worth that much.... Just a thought. One of the only reasons I haven't converted mine back. Actually, I would have if the dumb owner would have just given me the air springs he bought. The compressor on mine is burnt out according to the service records, and at one time he bought 4 new bags . Of course I never got them... The ride is not very nice on coils. Although, I have never ridden in a P38 with EAS, I have in an LR3 and WOW. If you can justify the cost, go for it. Personally, I can't...

I would still say since you have a working compressor I would buy a whole set of 4 air bags for the Rover. The dollars will be about the same and you will end up with a better ride IMO. I guess if you do with the coils then it would be a great time to put on a 2" lift.

Default Air bags

Any body know where I can get a couple of used air bags for cheap for a 1995 classic, 1 front and 1 rear ?

You can check on ebay for some used bags. Just as a suggestion you should always replace bags together, meaning change both the front bags and the backs when you are swapping them out. So I would suggest four new bags since if one had gone on each end then the next will not be that far behind.
