Wheel size options for 2008 RRS SC
I'm considering moving to an RRS from my current Disco2. A very nice example for sale nearby is a 2008 Supercharged version with 20" rims. Will an 18" rim from the LR3/4 fit? Are the Brembo brakes fitted to the SC version an issue?
Are there decent A/T tires available for the stock 20" rim that will fit as stock? or fit with lift rods being used?
Thanks

Lots of info over on rangerovers.net.
the 2010 - 2013 RRS definitely CANNOT fit 18" wheels due to the Brembos. I'm not sure but I suspect that the 2008 SC is similar. (NA versions can fit 18's).
I recently bought a 2013 RRSSC and just fitted 285/50R20 Nitto Terra Grappler G2 AT tires. They're the largest tire you can fit at stock height. I'm headed out this weekend to try them offroad. Only had them a week, but so far very happy. The sidewall is much larger than other sizes and looks to be sufficient for what I want to do.
The only thing that concerned me was how close the tire gets to the suspension arm, however lots of guys who have been running this size for years have said this is fine. And my experience so far is that it is fine.
Tire is extremely close to the suspension arm, but all advice and experience so far is that this is fine.

I still only have the stock spare so didn't try myself.
If I recall correctly, some people have been able to fit this tire as a spare if:
1. you deflate the tire a lot
2. you may need to remove the plastic liner over the spare
There are definitely a lot of people running this size though.
