Default 1994 Discovery help

Hi all I am the new owner of a 1994 Disco. It has 189K on it. It ran horrible when I purchased it. I am betting due to having sat for quite some time.

So far I have changed the oil in it to 15-40 Rotella and switched out the filter to a K&N. and ran a bottle of sea foam in the oil. Oil light as went away and according to my Autometer gauge I am pushing about 40PSI at start up and around 15-18 after completely warmed up and at idle.

It was running good until a few weeks ago. I took it out and it wouldn't start. Not wanting to mess with it I had it towed home. Of course it started right up once at home. I have ordered a new ECT, and FTS. Thinking it could very be the problem. as well as a new fuel filter. Then on Fri on the way home from work, it started to run very poorly. hesitating off idle, a few times, then dying about 300 ft from my house. It started right back up and idled about 800RPM. I pulled the stepper motor today and cleaned it, as well as the main crankcase filter. Both where very dirty.
All the new sensors and filter should arrive sometime this week. Anyone have any suggestions on what else it could be. I also have no fault codes. I had some when I first purchased it 34, 40, and 14. I think. I do remember left back O2 sensor. I did not replace it and cleared all the codes and they have not came back.
I also noticed today it was running a tad rich and very light traces of black smoke would come from the exhaust very briefly if I revved the engine.
