2.5 diesel query
Hello,
I have an odd question.
Who is the original source for the 2.5 diesel engine?
I understand that a common Peugeot 2.5 diesel was used in many English and european built vehicles. The 1986 Granada I just bought has a 2.5 NA Diesel that was sourced from Peugeot according to the owner. Is the same basic engine used for the Rover 2.5 TDi?
My 1995 Disco has the 3.9 petrol V8 so I am looking for conversion options...
Thanks in advance,
Jose

As I understand it, the 2.5 (as used in the 90/110) is simply a reworked 2.25. The fuel pump was changed to be be belt driven off the front of the engine along with the cam, and the capacity was increased.
Hope this helps.
