Default 2000 discovery wheels

im replacing the brakes on my 2000 land rover discovery, but i cant even get thewheels off hahaha. i havent had thewheels off before and when i took the lugs off it looks like theres an split washers inside where the stud goes. is there a special tool to get the wheels off the studs or are they just stuck to the center of the rotor and just need to be hammered off? they are really stuck on there!!! any advise on getting these babies off??? i just placed this elsewhere but i am really in need of help!!! also i have the stock wheels on here.

Use a 1 1/16 six point socket, if it doesn't fit it is because some used the wrong lug wrench and stretched the tin covers on the lugs.

The wheels can get really stuck on these things, due to oxidation. spray some pennetrating oil in around the hub area through the exposed lug hole areas, then use a soft or rubber mallet to hammer the wheels off.
