2002 Dis transfercase oil leak

I have a oil leak between my trans and transfercase and I would bet that it is the seal between them as it appears that it is transfercase oil coming out of a weep hole between the cases.
My ? is, how much of a issue is this. It leaks about a 2" puddle after a long drive and sitting for a day.
Thanks for any help.

Thanks for the quick reply Mike,
I am a bike mechanic and have always done my own work on all my cars and trucks.
The idea was that buying a 2002 would not require much attention.
I can do this stuff myself, but don't have the time to address it at the moment.
It is gear oil for sure. Weep hole is not the right term, but it has a
manufacture place on the transfercase so you will know if the tranny or
transfer case seal has a leak.
It has had the top end off, but needs valve cover gaskets, intake maybe, and also a pan gasket.
My ? is, does the transfecase seal, like many other leaks, justleak minimally and just gradually get worse and not just blow? I would assume that is the case, just wondering how bad they get?
As I said previously it will leave a 2" circle after a day from a 200 mile drive.
I know, a loaded ?
Neat vehical and I like driving it, but I have always had land cruisers
before so this is a little differant. I know what I can get away with on them so any
advice you can give theDiscoveryis very much appreciated.
It is a 2002 disco with 89000 on it.
Thanks againfor your time and if you can, let me know your opinion on the transfer
case leak as fars as just keeping a eye on it for now and that would be great.

its really not a bad job IF you have a lift and a tranny jack, you dont even need to remove the tbox from under the car. if you do it your self inspect the tranny output shaft. alot of the times the develop a score ring and it cuts the seal if thats the case you need to replace it as well, its just a long boltthat goes through the shaft and thenit justslides out.good luck...oh yeah aligning the splines can be a bit of a bitch, but dont use and grease to make it slide smoother it just makes it that much more difficult

Honda,
My only concerns is that you only have abour 2.4 quarts in the t/case. Loosing half of it will cause excessive wear and then failure.
Need to do something pretty quick.
Might want to look into some White Night, sealant, supposed to work well on a t/case, not a tranny though.
