2005 LR3 won't start when below 50 degrees - until alarm light stops blinking -
I"ve been having this problem with my LR3 since I bought it - but it only happens in the winter, so I've just dealt with it.
When it's below about 50 degrees outside, my LR3 won't start. I turn the key forward - no crank, non nothing. temp gauge is all the way up, alarm light blinking... I hear power activating the different modules in the vehicle, sit there for a few minutes, then after the red alarm light stops blinking and the temp gauge drops all the way, it starts right up. Throws every error on the dash (trans, engine, etc. faults). Turn car off, then turn back on and it starts with no errors.
A couple of techs have told me it sounds like one of the solder connections on the eco is worn. Anyone else ever heard of this? Which ECU do I replace? Is it possibly just my alarm ECU since the car starts when the alarm light stops blinking?
thanks for any help,.
