Default a different Differential Question

i'm wondering a p-38 from 99-02 have locking rear differentials, would that not be the easiest upgrade to a DII.
unless you had need to regear to 4:11

they don't bolt in directly. you'd have to drill and tap, correct? dunno about pinion length

Locking rear? I thought they just had 4 pinion differentials.

Some have factory lockers i was surprised i tought it was added To my truck when i noticed it. But when i went on fleybay there were two diferent people with factory locking diffs for sale from the rear of 00-03 rr
