Found my coolant leak

Top is the problem.! Cheap plastic fitting. Bottom is my solution https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...5655e5128.jpeg |
Great job! On that car specifically there are so many spots for improvements like that.

But after I got her warmed up and took her for a spin down the road it got WAY HOT In the pics you can see mud on the top of the engine and rad shroud, so maybe the condenser has mud blocking the fins as well. |

Check the AC Condenser in front of the Radiator for any blockage.

that would be the one in front of the radiator with the two fans in front? Yes? I should say that those fans never came in during the test run. If the fans didn't come on when the rig overheated can be a good thing, it means the coolant temp didn't reach over 212* F So providing the fans work, this is how/when they function... https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...5a9c7673f3.png |
dial, a couple of things...
1- post in the D1 section, you'll get more eyes on your posts 2 - put what model truck you have in your 'signature'. Look for the 'User CP' tab near the top of the page 3- Looks as though your heater core was bypassed. I'd check that your plumbing is correct. from the pix it is difficult to understand how it is set up. this is from page 355 of the workshop manual pdf https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/landrov...4cf45d8391.jpg |
