Horn not working
I have a 2007 LR3 HSE and my wife noticed the other day that the horn was not working. I have read some other threads on this issue and have looked under the dash to see if there was anything that stuck out. The horn will work when I turn the wheel 90 degrees in either direction but not when it is straight. I am wondering if it is the rotary coupler that others have talked about? Any help would be much appreciated.

You have pretty much nailed it down. But review this part from the manual, could be something simpler. https://www.cubby.com/pl/LR3+worksho.../413-06%20Horn and certainly before tearing into steering column look at that section of shop manual as well.

I looked at the horn section of the manual but it does not talk about or reference the rotary coupler at all. I am going to keep digging to find more about it but knowing the horn works without changing anything tells me there is a bad connection when the steering wheel is straight. Thank you for the information.

I think there is a recall for this on some LR3.
