I searched but could not find a good answer.

I'm looking for a jump starter unit with air compressor good enough to cold start my 1996 Discovery, and to do dual dutty as a spare battery for camp use. It doesn't need to have a power inverter.

So far I found two that look strong enough, a Black & Decker 500AMP Jump Starter w/Inflator, retails for $119, and the Peak 450 Amp Jumpstart with Inflator, which retails for $99.

Anybody has any experience with any of these? I can't find good reviews for them. If there is another one I should look at please let me know.

Go to dual batteries and a better air pump, other wise you won't get much for the buck.

 

I really like the portability of the starter...

Does anybody has plans on how to build my own starter? That way I can use a top of the line battery and still make it portable
