Default lowering the gas tank-no disconnecting

I have a hole in the gas tank. I bought some gas tank epoxy to try out, the hole is on the side of the tank next to the frame. I need to drop it about 5 inches to access the hole. Will I need to disconnect any hoses or lines to drop it this far, or could i prop it dropped 5 inches lower, do the repair, and raise it back without disconnecting anything?
