Default Sooty exhaust/lack power!!!!!!!

My 92 RRC LSE 3.9 is running what appears to be very rich. I have done the following: new wires, plugs, cap, rotor, air cleaner, 2.5' cat back exhaust, oil, oil filter, a couple rounds of injector cleaner. This vehicle is new to me and I have put about 1000 miles on it. Mileage was very poor before the tune up, great(13-14) right after the tune up, now its back down and I feel it is getting worse.

It noticeably really lacks power, creates a very sooty rich smelling exhaust and gas mileage sucks. However, It doesn't miss, it starts everytime, runs good, not strong though. Also with the AC on and you are at a light in DRIVE, it does idle a little low and it feels shaky..a little.

Please help!!!! Thanks-Ali

I confirmed a fault code 44...O2 sensor.

Could something be causing this code other than a bad sensor or should I just replace them???

Code 44 - Lambda sensor A - left bank
Code 45 - Lambda sensor B - right bank

I bet if you go thru and clear the 44 code you will also find a 45 and possibily find some other problems.
I had a feeling after talking with you the 02's would show up.
Let me know how it goes.
Mike
